Cecile Charolette Hahn
Longtime San Anselmo resident and retired registered nurse died on November 29, 2001 at the Aldersly in San Rafael, following a stroke. She was 90 years old. She was born August 5, 1911 in Doris, California to Elma and Harry (Bert) Hessig. She was a member of a pioneer family that homesteaded and ranched on the Klamath River between Copco Lake and the California-Oregon State Line. Her family raised first Devon and then Herford cattle. Educated in Yreka and Berkeley, Mrs. Hahn took nurse's training at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. She married Albert P. Hahn in 1938 and lived in Marin since 1946, working as an RN at Ross, San Rafael, and Marin General Hospitals. Active in the PTA and the American Heart Association, she was named Marin Volunteer of the Year in the early 1980s. Mrs. Hahn is survived by three children: a daughter, Jeanne E. of Olympia, Washington; twin sons, Charles H. and Robert L. of Woodacre and Montague; and two grandchildren. The family prefers that any donations be made to the American Heart Association, Marin branch.
