BLACKBURN Sr., Delbert L., 66, of Fairfax, passed away October 18, 2001. Neptune Society, Northern California, Belmont, 650-592-9880.
Delbert L. Blackburn Sr.
Longtime Marin resident and actor passed away at Stanford Hospital in Stanford on October 18, 2001 at the age of 66. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on August 23, 1935. Delbert made his home for the last 20 years in Fairfax and was a resident of Marin County for 60 years. He is survived by sons: Michael Blackburn of Petaluma, Delbert Blackburn Jr. of Santa Rosa, Bruce Gattoni of Middletown, and Mark Gattoni of Santa Rosa, and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Blackburn of Shawnee, Oklahoma and his wife, Wilma Blackburn. Delbert had retired from the Golden Gate Transit, where he was a bus driver. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and avid writer and storyteller, longtime actor and artist. A Memorial Service will be held at Sleepy Hollow Presbyterian Church, 100 Tarry Road, San Anselmo, CA 415-453-8221 on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. Arrangements by Neptune Society of Northern CA, Belmont, CA, 650-592-9880.
