MICHAEL DeBENEDETTI
A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael DeBenedetti of Guerneville, father of Juliet Larabaru of San Rafael, was held today.
DeBenedetti, 85, died Monday in a Sebastopol hospital after a three-month illness.
He was born in Palermo, Italy, and came to the United States 80 years ago.
DeBenedetti lived for many years in San Francisco, where he was a mailer for L’Italia, an Italian language newspaper.
He was a member of the Mailers Union, the Druids Lodge, the Redmen Lodge, and the Young Men’s Institute, all of San Francisco.
De Benedetti also is survived by two sons, Vincent, of Sacramento, and Charles, of San Francisco, another daughter, June Moss of Santa Rosa, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Redwood Memorial Gardens, Guerneville.
The family prefers contributions to the Leukemia Foundation or a favorite charity.
