VOLINDA CALL
Volinda Lewis Call of Mill Valley died yesterday at her home following a long illness.
Born in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Call had lived at 315 Montford Avenue in Mill Valley for the past 19 years with her husband, Hughes Call, a consulting engineer.
She was a member of the Marin Mastectomy Service Club, Experiment in International Living, Save the Children Federation, the Mill Valley Light Opera Co., and a past member of the Homestead School Parent-Teacher Association. She also had been a Bluebird and 4-H leader.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Phoebe Carey and Eleanor Carey Call, both of Mill Valley; two sons, Alexander H. of Mill Valley and Lewis H. Call of Arcata; and a sister, Mrs. George S. Skinner of Arlington, Va.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mill Valley Community Church, 10 Olive Street, Mill Valley. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapels in Mill Valley from 6 p.m. today to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Contributions to the Save the Children Federation or Experiment in International Living are preferred.
