EMMA OAKES
Funeral for Emma L. Oakes, 86, of 8 Laurel Avenue, San Anselmo, will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Anderson’s Funeral Parlors, San Francisco, with burial in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Oakes died Friday at a local hospital after a short illness.
A native of Belmont, Calif., Mrs. Oakes had lived in the state all her life, the last four years in Marin. She was the widow of Oscar A. Oakes, a San Francisco Fire Department lieutenant.
Survivors are a son, Clyde N. Burton of San Anselmo, a daughter, N. Anita Smith of San Francisco; three sisters, Phoebe Keach, Edna McGowan and Adelia Vannier, all of Belmont; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
