Mrs. John Myers Answers The Final Summons

One of the most pathetic deaths of recent years in Mill Valley was that of Mrs. John Myers, which occurred at her home on Sunny Heights last Saturday evening. Mrs. Myers had been seriously ill for several weeks but on Saturday afternoon she seemed much better and her many friends hoped for a speedy recovery. That evening, however, she suddenly became worse and never rallied.

Mrs. Myers came to Mill Valley five short years ago, a pretty English girl from far away Yorkshire, to meet the lover who had preceded her years before. She was welcomed by Mrs. Capplemann and Mrs. Selwood, and an English wedding at the pretty little Episcopal church marked the crowning point of the romance which was to end all too soon.

The funeral took place Tuesday, the ceremonies at t he church and the grave begin conducted by Reb. H. Howitt, according to the simple but impressive rites of the Church of England. Interment took place in beautiful Fernwood cemetery, high in the hills above Manzanita, whither many friends journeyed to pay a last tribute of love to the departed.

Mrs. Myers had always taken an active part in the social and club life of t he Valley, and a host of friends mourn her untimely taking off.
