TOM W. STOY
Tom W. Stoy, former longtime superintendent of the jute mill at San Quentin prison, died yesterday in a Santa Rosa convalescent hospital after an illness of about a month. He was 76.
Stoy moved to Santa Rosa in 1958 from San Rafael.
He was employed at the prison for about 30 years, retiring about 15 years ago.
He was a native of Kentucky.
He was a member of Marin Lodge No. 191, Free and Accepted Masons.
Stoy is survived by his wife, Isabelle; two sons, Tom Stoy of Midland, Texas, and Jack Vail of Santa Rosa; two sisters, Nell Maas of Seattle and Frances Helms of Los Angeles, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, Santa Rosa. Burial will be in Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
