GORDON GEBBIE

Gordon Hugh Gebbie of Mill Valley, a store manager for Haberman's Clothiers in San Francisco, died at his home today, apparently of a heart attack. He was 59.

His wife, Helen, told Asst. County Coroner William C. Bradley that Gebbie was upstairs in the bedroom dressing, preparing to go to work this morning. She was preparing breakfast in the kitchen below. She heard a thump on the floor and went upstairs to find her husband unconscious. She telephoned police and Dr. John Lee.

Dr. Lee pronounced Gebbie dead at 8:30 a.m.

Born in Canada, Gebbie had lived in Marin 25 years and in California 40 years. He had worked for Haberman's five years. He resided at 32 Millwood Avenue.

He is survived by his wife, a legal secretary in San Francisco, and his daughter, Melinda, 17.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley, where an autopsy was to be performed.
