ANITA E. FORESTER
Ross businesswoman
Anita Edith Forester’s children were always beautifully dressed – generally in clothes that the long-time owner of Ross Dry Cleaners made herself.
The gifted seamstress made her daughters’ dresses for the first day of kindergarten, and did the same for their high school proms.
Mrs. Forester died on April 22. The San Rafael resident was 82.
She grew up in San Rafael, attending St. Raphael’s School before graduating from San Rafael High School. Along with tending her business and her family, Mrs. Forester was an accomplished quilter, played tennis and liked to hike. She also made time to volunteer at Bahia Vista School.
Her husband, Miskel Coyle Forester, died earlier. She is survived by her daughters, Rosalie Patterson of Marysville and Diane Sandquist of San Rafael, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. today at the Mission Chapel of St. Raphael’s in San Rafael.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marin.
