GODINO, Richard V., 72, of Mill Valley, passed away September 28, 2001.
Richard V. Godino
72 years old, died Friday, September 28, 2001, of cancer and double pneumonia in Saint John's Health Center, Santa Monica, California. He and his wife, Judith Barr Godino, had lived on Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley since 1958. Their children are Grace, Amy, John, Matthew and Rich. Their grandchildren are Rose, Nick, Rylan and Ian. Dick was born in Santa Monica. He was a graduate of Stanford University, Stanford School of Business and U.S.F. Law School. He was a sergeant in the U.S Army, honorably discharged. For many years, Dick was an attorney in the Marin County Counsel's office. Then he and partners had their own law firms in San Francisco, San Rafael, and Los Angeles. Dick requested that no funeral nor memorial service be held for him. However, his wife and children would appreciate those who knew him closely to write us a personal remembrance: funny, sad, while golfing, anything -- to be sent to his home, 532 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941, so all the Godinos can know him more completely. We shall put together a collection of memories for our family about Dick Godino and friends. Dick said not long before he died, if anyone wanted to donate a dollar in his name the Marin Agricultural Land Trust in Point Reyes Station was his first choice, Nature Conservancy, his next choice.
