Mrs. Dr. Sawyer has many friends who sympathize with her in the loss of her mother, Mrs. Liveria Hanford, who died at her home in Oakland, September 20. She was a cultured and highly esteemed lady. Her husband has for 33 years been paymaster for the Southern Pacific railroad. Mrs. Sawyer will remain in Oakland for an indefinite time in charge of her father's home. The doctor will rent his house here, but he will continue to reside here and maintain his dental office, and will go to Oakland two or three times a week to be with his family.
