WILLIAM F. WAGNER
William F. Wagner, , 80, of 2023 Center Road, Novato, a retired painter for the city and county of San Francisco, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Alameda and had lived all his life in the Bay Area. For the past 50 years, he maintained a weekend home in Black Point, as he was a fishing enthusiast, and lived in Novato 20 years. He was a well known bowler among local clubs. He and his wife, Edna, celebrated their golden wedding two years ago.
He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Navy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Edna Johnson and Patricia Naugle, both of Novato; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
