Dr. Geo. Van Orden, Yolanda Resident, Passes in Bay City
Death claimed Dr. George N. Van Orden, San Francisco dentist and resident of Yolanda for the past 27 years, on Tuesday in San Francisco where he and his wife had gone three weeks ago to spend the winter months. They were staying at the Biltmore Hotel when Dr. Van Orden was stricken.
Deceased leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Van Orden, a son, Allen Van Orden, of Martinez, and daughter, Miss Edith Van Orden, San Francisco teacher.
He was a member of San Rafael Lodge, No. 1108, B. P. O. Elks; Mission Lodge, No. 169, F. and A. M.; Precita Parlor, No. 187, Native Sons, and State and City Dental Society.
Funeral services were held today, Thursday, at the mortuary of Halsted & Co., 1123 Sutter St., under auspices of Mission Lodge.
