JAMES MATTHEWS
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday for Capt. James E. Matthews, 40, of Corte Madera, a retired Merchant Marine captain and Panama Canal Zone pilot, who died Tuesday in a local hospital.
He was the son of the late James W. Matthews and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Isabel Matthews of 18 Council Crest Drive, Corte Madera, with whom he had lived a year.
Services will be at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate Cemetery, San Bruno.
