WEITZ, Ernest M., M.D., 71, passed away September 19, 2001. Sinai Memorial Chapel, San Francisco, 415-921-3636.
Ernest M. Weitz, M.D.
Passed away in San Francisco on September 19, 2001 at age 71. Beloved husband of Carol; loving father of Drs. Susan and Howard Mandel and Dr. Michael and Janice Weitz; devoted grandfather and toy-maker of Spencer, Mallory, Steven, Robbie, David and James; dear brother of Pearl Bass, Phyllis Silverman and Terry Putterman; devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews; special friend to many. An active member of Congregation Beth Sholom, he established Beth Sholom's Men's Club. An avid sports fan, woodworker and "universal maven".
Funeral Services will be held today, Friday, September 21 at 2 p.m. at Sinai Memorial Chapel, 1501 Divisadero Street at Geary Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cong. Beth Sholom, 1301 Clement St., SF 94118 or The Auxillary, U.C.S.F. Mount Zion, 1600 Divisadero St., San Francisco, 94115.
