Accidental Death on North Shore Road
An accident on the North Shore Road last Friday evening at Sausalito resulted in the death of Harry Kattachi, a brakeman who has been on the road for about a year. He was on the excursion train which came down from Point Reyes, and after unloading the passengers the train was being backed to the shops to detach some coaches. Kattachi was on the rear end of the rear car - an open excursion car - when by some accident he fell from the car and was run over by it. The body was badly mangled and life was extinct in a few minutes after the accident. Coroner Eden held an inquest Monday and the jury rendered a verdict of accidental death. He was about 34 years of age and came to California from Texas. Mr. Eden shipped the body to Houston, Texas, Tuesday.
