JOHN COUNTERMINE
San Rafael lithographer
Funeral services for John S. Countermine of San Rafael will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Mr. Countermine died at Marin General Hospital July 19. He was 52.
He was born in Little Falls, Minn., and moved to Marin in 1954. He worked as a lithographer for Paragraphics until his retirement in 1989.
He was a volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Kaiser Hospital, San Quentin Museum and at Angel Island.
Mr. Counterman belonged to the Marin Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed fishing, antique guns, target shooting, the outdoors and volunteer work.
Mr. Countermine is survived by his wife, Judy E. Countermine of San Rafael, two daughters, Jill Countermine of Larkspur and Julie Mosley of San Rafael; and his mother, Florence Titus of Redding.
