PASSA, Frank, 85, of Santa Rosa, passed away September 11, 2001. Parent-Sorensen Mortuary/Crematory, Petaluma, 707-763-4131.


Frank Passa
Died in Santa Rosa, California on September 11, 2001 at 85 years. Devoted husband of Gabriella Passa of Santa Rosa. Loving father of Vivian Sommers and her husband Bill of Redwood City, California and Francine Karp and her husband Roger of Santa Rosa. Loving grandfather of Laura Marlor, Carolyn Sommers and Erika Passa-Lyttkens. Loving great-grandfather of Phoenix, Savannah and Madeleine Marlor. Loving brother of Josephine Caputo of Florida, Elsie Andersen of New York and the late Anna Miglorisi and Frances Goldberg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of New York City, New York, Mr. Passa served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He also was well known nationally and world wide as a "Bow and Violin Maker" making and restoring these musical instruments for the past 51 years of his life. He worked until two years ago, when illness forced him to retire. He was a member of The Family Club of San Francisco, Entente International Society of Violin and Bow Makers.

Private family services will be held. Memorial Services will be at a later date. Those who prefer may contribute to MCF Emergency Response Fund, 17 E. Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Suite 200, Larkspur, CA 94939, to help all those who were victims in New York and Washington. Services are under the direction of the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA. Private Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael, California.
