December 3, 1916-September 11, 2001
Jim Strowger, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2001, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by sons Bob of Martinez, CA and Jim of Los Angeles, CA. Jim spent 30 years with Kerr Steamship Co. in Portland, OR, Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA. He was an avid golfer and had been a member of Riviera County Club, Pacific Palisades, CA and Marin Country Club, Novato, CA
.
A service will be held October 6, 2001, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 620 Del Ganado, San Rafael, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to the Marin Food Bank, 75 Digital Dr., Novato, CA 94949. Keaton Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael, 415-453-0571.
