Wilburn Youell "Bill" Wallace, A Resident of Mill Valley
Passed away on September 10, 2001 in Corte Madera at age 63 years. Dear husband of Mary Ann Miller of Mill Valley, loving father of Bodi Grayson Wallace of Henderson, Nevada, Christina Nicole Wallace of Santa Rosa, and Darcy Leigh Wallace of San Francisco, brother of Bob Wallace of Frisco, Texas.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Bill received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Oklahoma State University in 1963. Bill's 37 year Professional Career in Residential and Commercial Architecture and Construction began with Robert R. Weber & Associates, San Francisco; and continued with his partnership firms of Environmental Planning & Design Associates and Janis Construction in Sausalito. His design work of the last 14 years was in Mill Valley with his Wallace Construction and Bill Wallace Architect Companies. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1956 - 1964. Bill loved music and began performing with his guitar at the age of nine years. His college dance band (The Shadow Lake Eight) still meets annually for reunion gigs. Bill enjoyed golfing with his friends, skiing with his children, and working in his Lincoln, California Olive Grove with his wife which was his last adventure.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration of Bill's life which will be held in the Garden of Bill's Previous Home at 46 South Knoll, Mill Valley on Friday, September 14, 2001 (TODAY) at 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts preferred to the American Rose Society (Kilma Education and Visitor Center Building Fund), Sheveport, Louisiana.
