Drowned in the Bay

On Tuesday morning Coroner Eden went down to Manzanita Station to get the body of William Walsh, a discharged soldier who has been in the employ of Lawrence Campbell on the island opposite the station for a few weeks. The nude body was found in Richardson's Bay Monday. It seems he had been drinking some Sunday and about 8 o'clock in the evening started to cross the island. He apparently had taken off his clothes and attempted to swim across and was drowned. Mr. Eden will hold the inquest today. He was 26 years of age.
