ELLIE, De Dian D. Lyons, of San Rafael, passed away September 8, 2001. Mt. Tamalpais Mortuary, San Rafael, 415-459-2500.
De Dian D. Lyons Ellie
Passed peacefully at home September 8, 2001 in San Rafael. Native to the Bay Area she was born November 30, 1929 in San Francisco. An artist and a Graduate of S.F. State, she found great joy in camping and boating. She was a master of inventions and improvising. Jazz, song writing, playing the guitar, storytelling, gardening and football were her favorite pastimes. In the 60's De owned a Lotus 23 racecar creating great memories at Laguna Seca racetrack in Monterey. While supporting her daughters, in the 60's and 70's, De cocktailed evenings after her day gig at Prince Charlie's, The Charles Van Damm, The Lion Share and The Wood's. Her co-working buddies at Electrix will miss her.
Wife of the late John H. Ellie, she is survived by her daughters; Lorraine Ellie of Marin, Lynn Ellie Yetter and (Bill) of Fairfax. Grandmother to Nicole & Emily Yetter.
Mom, this journey casts your sails towards beautiful sunrises and peaceful sunsets...We love you, we are paying attention!
