E. A. FOGARTY
Edmund A. Fogarty, 76, a resident of Marin County for 34 years, died yesterday in a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness.
Fogarty, a native of San Francisco, retired 11 years ago as general manager of E. F. Hutton and Co., San Francisco. He had worked for the securities firm for 43 years. Following retirement he worked for about five years on the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange. Prior to his illness he had made his home at 408 Alexander Avenue in Larkspur.
He is survived by a daughter, Helen Gootherts of Corte Madera; two brothers, Francis Fogarty of San Anselmo and Rev. Charles Fogarty of New Jersey, and two grandsons. His wife, Meta, died last April.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be offered with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. The family prefers contributions to a favorite charity.
