LANE – In San Rafael, April 8, 1974, Carmelita Lane, loving and beloved wife of the late Harold A. Lane; loving mother of Julie Fazackerley, Harold Lane and Jeanne Murphy; mother-in-law of Don Fazackerley, Ruth Lane and Eugene Murphy; beloved aunt of William J. Wilson, Lucille Lacey, Lois O’Shea, and Barbara O’Brien. Survived by 12 grandchildren: Rev. John J. Lane S.J.; Gail Bunker; Donna, Clare and Jane Fazackerley; Julie Murphy; Michael, Sheila, Matthew and Ellen Murphy, and Kathleen and Daniel Lacey. Also survived by four great-grandchildren: Michele, Brian and Keirsten Bunker and Kevin Murphy. A native of San Francisco, aged 83 years. A member of the California Institute No. 1, YLI, and Sacred Heart Court, WCOF No. 737.
Private funeral services were held Wednesday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nazareth House Chapel, San Rafael, where a Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated for the repose of her soul. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. Rosary services were recited at 7 p.m. at the Nazareth House Chapel, Tuesday evening. Spiritual bouquets or memorial contributions preferred to the Nazareth House, 245 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael, Calif. 94903.
