Mr. John Conless, who died suddenly from heart failure in San Francisco last week, was the father of Mrs. W. Elliott and father-in-law of Capt. W. Elliott, U.S.A. Mrs. Elliott is at present staying with her mother in San Francisco, as the widow suffers much from grief at the sudden taking away of her dear husband.
