LONG, Patrick, 48, of Novato, passed away September 4, 2001. Keaton's Redwood Chapel, Novato, 415-897-1151.
Patrick Long, 48, longtime resident of Marin County, died in his Novato home, Tuesday, September 4, 2001. Survived by his two sons, LCPL Christopher Long, 20 and Ryan Long, 17, Patrick was a proud and dedicated father. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Darlene Long of Redding, California; sisters, Linda Boyle, also of Redding and Sharon McClane of Pacific Grove, California, as well as numerous nieces. He is preceded in death by his devoted father, James R. Long.
Patrick was born in San Jose, California and moved to Redding in early childhood where he graduated from Shasta High School. Moving to Marin County in 1977, he attended College of Marin, obtained his Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, then began his career in investigations. He joined the law firm of Brayton & Purcell in December, 1986, where he continued a long and satisfying career as manager of the investigations department.
Patrick enjoyed photography, collecting military and movie memorabilia and movies. He was an avid reader. Above all, Patrick enjoyed spending time with his two sons, both of whom he was very proud. He will be greatly missed by many.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Stafford Lake in Novato.
