FINZEN, Lenore W., 81, of Mill Valley, passed away September 6, 2001. Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery-Mortuary, San Rafael, 415-459-2500.
Lenore W. Finzen
Died on September 6, 2001 at her son's home in San Rafael after a short struggle with leukemia at the age of 81.
Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Finzen, in 1977. She was born and raised in Hilmar, California. She attended Stanford University and obtained a degree in Nursing in 1945. She was a resident of Mill Valley for 50 years. She worked as a school nurse in the Mill Valley School District for nearly 30 years.
She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Fiorini of Delhi and Belleta Swanson of Hilmar; a son and daughter-in-law, Fritz and Barbara Finzen of San Rafael; a daughter and son-in-law, Ron and Laura Scudder of Chico; and seven grandchildren: Emily, Amy, and Matthew Finzen and Sarah, Emily, Rebekah, and Anna Scudder.
She enjoyed many hours of gardening and summers at her vacation home in "Potter".
At her request, no services will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, CA 94925.
