The Floater was Archie Pollock
A floater was found off Angel Island Sunday morning by a sentry near the discharge camp and brought by Coroner Eden to San Rafael. Monday it was identified as the body of Archie Pollock, a quartermaster on the transport Hancock, who was accidently knocked overboard and drowned during the recent storm from the deck of the vessel. He was a native of Scotland, age 32 years. In his pockets were found $1.10 in small change and an open faced silver watch.
