Death of Lewis Gerstle

LEWIS GERSTLE, president of the Alaska Commercial Co., died November 19th, at his residence, 1517 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco. He had a bad stroke of paralysis the Saturday previous to his death. He was 78 years of age and had enormous business interests, being for a long time associated with Mr. Louis Sloss. Mr. Gerstle was also treasurer of the Board of Regents, and for many years made San Rafael the summer home of his family.
