Vincent Bertoni Dies Following Short Illness
Vincent Bertoni, pioneer resident of San Rafael, died last night at the Cottage Hospital after a week’s illness. Severely burned when he fell on a stove, he later developed pneumonia, which was fatal.
Bertoni is survived by six daughters – Mrs. C. Bettini, Mrs. L. Marelli, Mrs. C. Mazzini, Mrs. D. Bettini, Mrs. M. Boni and Miss Sophie Bertoni – and four sons – John, Peter, Frank and George Bertoni. He was born 68 years ago in Italy and had resided here for more than 40 years.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 at St. Raphael’s Church, where a requiem mass will be said for the repose of his soul. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
