Five Inquests Held By Coroner Keaton
The following inquests were held by Coroner J. Ray Keaton this week:
Olindo Gerini, who died June 21st, as the result of an auto accident in which a piece of fence was thrust through the car driven by R. Ramazotti. The accident happened on St. Vincent’s hill on June 19th. Attorney C. S. Marbio represented the driver of the car – Ramazotti, and refused to allow him to testify.
Timothy J. O’Callahan, who was found dead in home at Novato, died from gas, thought to be accidental. It was brought out that a stove had been removed from the house, and a leak may have sprung from the line.
Jos. Brotherton, Nicasio, who shot his head off with a sawed off shotgun, with suicidal intent, on the 31st day of May. He was employed in a cheese factory.
John T. Huffman, the sailor, who fell from the airplane carrier Saratoga on April 17. His body was found off Pt. Bonita.
S. Ninomiyo, a 39-year-old Japanese, who committed suicide at San Quentin. He was in for murder committed at Sacramento.
