Mrs. Sabina Bertoni Dies from Pneumonia
One of the best known women among the Italian families of this city, died Tuesday morning when death summoned Mrs. Sabina Bertoni, when she was seized with pneumonia followed by a stroke of paralysis. The family lived in 2 Clorinda street.
She was sixty years of age, and came to this county from Italy when a girl, and was married here. With the exception of a few years spent at Occidental, Mrs. Bertoni spent the rest of her days here, among one of the largest families in the community.
She was the wife of Vincent Bertoni, mother of Mrs. C. Bettini, Mrs. K. Mazzini, Mrs. L. Marelli, Mrs. D. Bettini, John, Sophie, Petio, Frank, George and Mary Bertoni and the late Joseph Bertoni, and Mrs. Rose Bettini.
Friends attended the funeral services Thursday (today) December 29, 1927, at 9:15 o’clock a.m. at the parlors of Keaton & Dusel (Sawyer Co.) thence to St. Raphael’s church, where a requiem high mass was said for the repose of her soul, commencing at 9:30.
