PIETRO MAZZETTA

Mass for Pietro Mazzetta, father of Clarence Mazzetta of Nicasio and Linda Genazzi of Petaluma, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Santa Rosa.

Entombment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa. Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Daniels’ Chapel of the Roses, Santa Rosa.

Mazetta died unexpectedly at his Santa Rosa home on Tuesday. He was 76.

Born in Italy, he came to American when he was 19. He had lived in Sonoma County for 54 years. Formerly a dairy owner, he was a retired custodian for the Santa Rosa Shoe Company. He had many friends in the Nicasio and West Marin areas.

He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, a 45-year member of the American Legion, Theodore Roosevelt Post No. 21, Santa Rosa, and a veteran of World War I.

A widower, he is survived by other sons, John Mazzetta and Rocco Guenza, both of Santa Rosa, and daughters, Prina Pisenti of Santa Rosa, and Anne Pollard of Berkeley, and four sisters, Nina Gaspari of Santa Rosa, and Natalia Pedrucci, Ersilla Rondoni and Clelia Rusconi, all of Italy.
