Brief Mention

John McGarry of the Lakeview (Oregon) Examiner, died at that town last Tuesday week. An overdose of morphine, given him, it is stated, because he was unable to sleep, caused him to sink into the dreamless slumber of death. McGarry, four or five years ago, for a brief period, acted as a canvasser for the News and afterwards as correspondent here for some of the city papers.
