SOPHIE TEIXEIRA
Lifelong San Rafael resident
Sophie M. Teixeira, a lifelong resident of San Rafael, died Friday, Dec. 29, 1989, at Rafael Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after a brief illness. She was 87.
She was born and lived all her life in San Rafael.
Surviving are two sisters, Camille Marelli of San Rafael and Theresa Bettini of Menlo Park; a brother, Peter Bertoni of San Rafael; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Manuel Teixeira, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of the Hills Mortuary in San Anselmo. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael. Visitation is afternoon Wednesday at the mortuary.
The family prefers memorial gifts to a favorite charity.
