Sudden Death

We regret exceedingly to announce the death of Mr. Thomas Morgan McMahon, the recently appointed Land Agent of the Sausalito Land & Ferry Co., who died suddenly at his residence in San Francisco on the morning of September 29th. Mr. McMahon was a genial whole souled gentleman who was just beginning to become acquainted with our citizens and had established an office in the building of the Land and Ferry Co. in this place, which in conjunction with his office in San Francisco, was fast becoming one of the leading real estate houses on the coast. His business not only included the lands of the Sausalito Land and Ferry Co., but also of various other localities in this State. His illness was of very short duration and his death totally unexpected. Heart failure was the cause as stated by his physician. It is to be hoped that the death of this estimable gentleman will not cause the closing of the office in this place, but that the company may find someone to fill the place thus made vacant. Mr. McMahon was a native of Pennsylvania, and had lived some time in Hollister, CA. He leaves a widow and daughter in San Francisco. He was 60 years, 5 months, and 7 days. The interment took place in Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday morning.
