SUTTHOFF, Katherine, formerly of Sausalito, passed away August 14, 2001. Neptune Society, Chico, CA.

Katherine Sutthoff
A long time resident of Sausalito, passed away in Chico, California on August 14, 2001 after a long illness. Miss Sutthoff was born in Eureka, California on November 3, 1927, and raised in Piedmont and Sausalito. She graduated from Dominican High School in San Rafael and attended Dominican College and the University of Washington, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In her professional life, Katherine worked for the Bechtel Corporation and the American Red Cross in San Francisco. She was also an active volunteer with the San Francisco Opera and St. Anthony's Dining Hall. Survivors include a brother, Dr. John Sutthoff of Chico.

"Katherine was a very gentle, considerate person," Dr. Sutthoff said. "She was very generous to her many nieces and nephews, and was a model during her long illness, of an uncomplaining, optimistic soul. She was an example to all of us."

Inurnment was in the family plot at Mount Olivet Catholic cemetery in San Rafael. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Marin.
