Mrs. Le Cam Dies After Hip Injury

Mrs. Louise E. Le Cam, 61, a native of Marin County and sister of Marin Supervisor Walter R. Castro of the San Rafael district, died yesterday at a local hospital following an injury suffered recently in her home.

Mrs. Le Cam, who lived at 911 Lootens place, was hospitalized after she fell and suffered a broken hip in her home.

She was born in Pt. Reyes and had lived in San Rafael for more than 55 years.

Castro, her brother, who was appointed supervisor recently by Gov. Goodwin Knight to finish the unexpired term of the late George Whiteley, is also San Rafael fire commissioner, and partner with his son, Walter Jr., in Castro’s Garage in San Rafael.

Surviving Mrs. Le Cam are her husband, George Le Cam, daughter, Mrs. Theresa L. Caton of Fresno, son, Marcel C. Le Cam of San Rafael, brothers, Castro of San Rafael, Frank C. Castro of Oakland, sisters, Mrs. Clorinda Shell of Jamestown, Calif., and Mrs. Virginia McKnight of Los Angeles. Also surviving are two grandchildren, John G. Caton Jr. and Curtis Michael Caton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Entombment will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was also the mother of the late George W. Le Cam, and sister of the late Olive Shell.
