RUTH M. BASKIM
Ruth M. Baskim of San Rafael died Thursday at Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after a short illness.
She was 88.
She was born in Liberty Corners, Pa., and was raised in Connecticut.
She was a school teacher in Connecticut before she married.
She moved to Los Angeles in 1942, coming to San Rafael 11 years ago.
She had worked for the Southern California Automobile Club.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in San Rafael and the San Anselmo Senior Citizens.
Her late husband, Ernest Baskim, died 49 years ago.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Parmelee of Greenbrae; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the First United Methodist Church.
A private graveside service will be held today at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
