CESARE BETTINI
Cesare Bettini, 74, was found this morning hanged in a shop in the back yard of his San Rafael home. County Coroner Frank J. Keaton said he had taken his own life.
Bettini was a native of Italy who came to the United States and Marin County in 1906. He was superintendent of parks for the City of San Rafael for 40 years and also worked for a short time as an agent for the Great American Insurance Co.
He had been in poor health for two years. He left no note.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Victoria Bettini, at the home at 103 Bungalow Avenue; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Hall and Mrs. Dorothy Frasier of San Rafael; three sons, Richard and C. Paul of San Rafael, and Remo of Fairfax, a brother, Rino Bettini, and 14 grandchildren.
Private family funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Inurnment will be private.
Contributions to a memorial fund in honor of his long service to the City of San Rafael may be made at his home.
