Murdered on the Sausalito Ferry
On Wednesday evening last week, just at 5:15 o’clock Vincent Burch, a waiter in the boat restaurant, was murdered by Manuel McBride, a cook. It appears that they quarreled, and McBride stabbed Burch with a long French knife. The knife entered the left shoulder, and inflicted a wound from which death resulted in about ten minutes. McBride then jumped overboard, but was rescued and lodged in the San Francisco jail. Report has it that the men quarreled over Mrs. Athrons who is cashier at the boat restaurant.
