Thomas McLean, Pioneer Here, Succumbs
After an illness of several weeks, Thomas McLean, pioneer resident of San Rafael, died yesterday at the home of Captain Fred Sherer, where he had been living for the past several years.
A native of Nova Scotia, where he was born 70 years ago, McLean had resided in San Rafael for 40 years. He conducted a cabinet-making business here.
Surviving him are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Moore and three brothers – John R., Andrew and Simon McLean. He had never married.
He was an honorary member of the San Rafael fire department, a member of Marin Lodge No. 191, F. & A. M.; Marin Lodge No. 200, I.O.O.F., and Tamalpais Lodge No. 60 Knights of Pythias.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the Masonic Temple here, under the auspices of Marin Lodge No. 191, F. & A. M. Entombment will take place at the Tamalpais Mausoleum. The remains are at the mortuary of Keaton & Dusel.
