PAUL MARY
Requiem High Mass for Paul F. Mary, longtime San Rafael bakery proprietor, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael.
Mary died Monday night in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 71.
He had been a San Rafael resident for 32 years, residing at 2028 Fourth Street. From the time he moved here from San Francisco until his retirement in 1947, he operated the Blue Ribbon Pastry Shop on Fourth Street. He previously operated three bakeries in San Francisco.
He was born in Switzerland and came to the United States and to San Francisco in 1912.
Mary was a charter member of Marin Rod and Gun Club and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 26, Club Italia of San Rafael, and Marin County Chapter of Druids.
He leaves his wife, Onorina; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Tanforan and Mrs. Felicia Brusati of San Rafael; a brother, John Mari of Switzerland, and three grandchildren.
The funeral cortege will form at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
