Mrs. Milla Moretti Dies in Switzerland In Her 82nd Year
News of the death of Mrs. Milla Filippini-Moretti in Cevio, Switzerland, on June 20, came in a cablegram to L. R. Filippini of Marshall, last Friday. He is a brother of Mrs. Moretti. Her death followed a brief illness.
Mrs. Moretti was a resident of Petaluma for a number of years and was married there to Giacondo Moretti. Four of her daughters were born in Petaluma.
The family resided on the W. A. Lewis ranch in Chileno Valley for a number of years, later moving to Switzerland, where Mr. Moretti passed away. She was 82 years of age.
The deceased was the sister of Leonardi Filippini of Marshall and the late Charles Filippini, who in 1910 organized the Swiss-American bank in Petaluma. She was also a sister of the late Louis Filippini; grandmother of Philip and Richard Respini of Marshall; Louis and Joseph Filippini of Oakland.
The Swiss residents of Marin and Sonoma counties were grieved to learn of her passing, and large numbers attended the mass today at Petaluma.
