Mrs. Anna Wiget Dies Suddenly From Throat Hemorrhage

Mrs. Anna Wiget, center figure in the will contest of the late Frank Stadelmann, and sister of the deceased, sat in court all day last Thursday, during a hearing for a new trial. Friday morning the 53-year-old heir to her brother’s estate, died from a throat hemorrhage in a local hospital.

Mrs. Wiget had come from Merced and was stopping at the old Stadelmann home, 91 Spring Grove avenue, San Anselmo, during her stay in the county.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wiget, a son, Martin and a married daughter. She is a native of France. The body was shipped by Keaton and Dusel to Merced for interment.

Her brother, Frank Stadelmann, was killed in an auto accident on November 8, 1937. He was 62 years of age and left an estate said to be valued at $90,000.

His former wife, Mrs. Emma E. Alm, of S. F., contested the will which left the bulk of the estate to the sister, Mrs. Wiget. A jury awarded Mrs. Alm a judgment of approximately $64,029.16. The case was heard before Superior Judge C. A. Paulsen of Trinity county.
