Final Rites Held For Louis Massen, Retired Carpenter
Funeral services were held today at Keaton’s, San Rafael, for Louis M. Massen, 70-year-old retired carpenter who had lived in Fairfax for the past 35 years.
Massen, a resident of 99-A Wesson lane, Fairfax, died at his home yesterday after a long illness. He had worked as carpenter at Mare Island for about 12 years before retiring several years ago. A native of France, he was past president of the San Rafael Lafayette Club and also belonged to the Carpenters Union, Local No. 35.
Massen leaves his widow, Caroline H. Massen in Fairfax; three sons, Edward of Napa, Charles in the U.S. Navy, and Armand, address not known; and two grandchildren.
Private inurnment followed the services.

A Death Notice in the same paper says he was the grandfather of Michael and Roy Massen.
