Mrs. Poyer, Tiburon, Succumbs
Mrs. Eleanor Jaeger Poyer, 69, of 1990 Centro West, Tiburon, died yesterday at Ross General Hospital after a long illness.
A native of New Jersey, she had lived in California 25 years and in Tiburon 10 years. She started volunteer work for the American Red Cross in 1913 in New York City and continued serving the organization in Carmel, San Francisco and Marin County where she received a 30-year pin for her work last year.
Surviving are a son, Charles E. Power (sic) Jr. of Maryland; a brother, Otto Jaeger of New York and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be private in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery. Contributions to the Cancer Fund are preferred by the family.
