Joan I. Copeland
Sales Manager
Joan I. Copeland, a Corte Madera resident for the past 10 years, died July 3. She was 72.
Mrs. Copeland was born in New York City and lived on Long Island, N.Y., and Los Angeles before coming to Marin County. She held management positions in the wholesale and retail apparel industry.
She received a bachelor of science degree in fashion merchandising from New York University in 1947.
She was an avid reader, library patron, grandmother and recreational boater.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne L. Chambers of Solvang; son, Robert L. Copeland of Greenbrae; and two grandsons.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
