Costantino Giusti
Costantino Giusti of Novato, a retired barrel maker and 32-year Marin resident, died yesterday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 87.
Giusti was born in Lucca, Italy and came to his country and to San Francisco in 1913. He moved to Novato in 1945.
Before his retirement 25 years ago, he worked for 30 years as a cooper for the California Barrel Co. in San Francisco. Before that he worked at a Mendocino county lumber mill.
Giusti is survived by his wife of 57 years, Amanda Giusti; a daughter, Elena Petrini of San Francisco; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
Burial will be in Italian Cemetery, Colma.
Rosary is to be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin, Novato.
