Sophie Eustace Answers Last Summons

Dan Eustace and his poor wife have had more than their rightful share of sorrows during the last four months. Their son, a promising young lad, passed away Oct. 26, and their eldest daughter, Sophie, passed away last Saturday. She was taken to Cottage Hospital several days ago.

The funeral took place on Tuesday. There were many floral tributes from the many friends and schoolmates. The honorary pall bearers were her young schoolmates – Hazel Young, Dorothy Elder, May Young, Jennie Young, Elizabeth Jewett and Alvira Sparrow. The actual pall bearers were H. G. Johansson, Christ Johnsen, C. F. McCarthy, Otto Eckstein, Fredrick Theis and Thos. Lavery of the U.S.S. Thetis.

The remains were laid to rest alongside her brother in Fernwood cemetery.
